maintenance plumbing
Maintenance plumbing services can range from minor to major, and from preventative to repairs. Services included in maintenance plumbing can include but are not limited to:
identifying and fixing leaks in pipes, taps, and fixtures to prevent water waste and damage
clearing blocked drains and pipes to ensure smooth water flow and prevent backups
inspecting, repairing, or replacing faulty taps and valves to maintain efficient water use
checking for corrosion, damage, or wear in plumbing pipes to avoid future issues
servicing hot water systems, including flushing tanks and checking elements to ensure proper operation
measuring water pressure to detect issues that could cause pipe damage or inefficient water flow and correcting any inefficiencies
ensuring toilets, sinks, and other fixtures function correctly, and upgrading as needed
testing and maintaining backflow devices to protect water supply from contamination
and comprehensive inspections to catch minor problems before they escalate.
Regular maintenance plumbing helps maintain system efficiency, reduce costly repairs, and extend the lifespan of your plumbing.
pipe relining
Pipe relining might be required when your existing pipes are damaged, cracked, corroded, or leaking but the location, depth, or surrounding structures make traditional pipe replacement difficult or costly. Pipe relining is often used for underground sewer lines, stormwater pipes, and drainage systems that have aged or been compromised.
Relining is minimally invasive, meaning there is no need for extensive digging or demolition, a cost-effective option when compared to full pipe dig up and replacement and a durable and long-lasting solution that can extend pipe lifespan by 50+ years.
The process is quick with reduced disruption to your home or property, and will provide improved flow and structural integrity of the pipe. Our plumbers use a specialised camera to assess the condition and exact location of the damaged pipes.
Once the area is examined, the existing pipe is cleaned using our hydro jet to remove debris, roots, and buildup. A flexible resin-saturated liner is inserted into the pipe, the liner is cured (hardened) inside the pipe using hot water forming a new, seamless pipe within the old pipe. The plumber re-inspects the pipe with the camera to ensure the relining is successful.
leak detection
Specialised Leak Detection may be required if you are seeing unexplained spikes in your water bill, damp spots or water stains on walls, ceilings, or floors, mould or mildew growth without an obvious cause, unusual sounds of running water when all taps are off or low water pressure or a persistent dripping sound. Magnolia Plumbing are trained in the use of specialised equipment to accurately locate leaks without unnecessary damage.
Once a leak has been detected, the severity and location are assessed and options for management will be presented. The water supply may be temporarily turned off to prevent further damage for the duration of the repair. Repairs might include sealing leaks, replacing damaged sections of pipe, or upgrading old plumbing. After these are carried out, our plumbers will test the system to ensure the leak has been fully resolved.
Specialised leak detection combines technology with expert knowledge to prevent hidden leaks from causing extensive damage, giving peace of mind and protecting your property.
gas systems
Magnolia Plumbing can expertly and safely install, repair, and maintain a wide range of gas appliances, including stoves, heaters, and hot water systems, all while ensuring full compliance with Australian standards.
Our team manage every aspect of gas pipe installation and alterations with care, perform thorough gas leak detection and repair to prevent hazards, and handle the precise setup or relocation of gas meters.
Regular servicing of gas systems and lines not only helps keep your home or office gas supply running efficiently but also extends the lifespan and enhances safety over time. Every job that we undertake involves obtaining necessary permits, conducting comprehensive safety checks before, during and after repairs, and providing prompt emergency service when needed. All gas work that we carry out is provided with strict adherence to safety protocols, industry regulations, and best practices.
hot water systems
If your hot water system is struggling to keep up with your home or office needs, is showing signs of leaks, making unusual noises, or the water temperature fluctuates unexpectedly, these are indicators that your system requires a service, or replacement. Additionally, if your energy bills have noticeably increased, it could be a sign that your current system is inefficient and due for replacement.
At Magnolia Plumbing, we supply and fit a range of trusted hot water system brands including Rinnai, Bosch, Rheem, and Dux. These brands are known for their durability, energy efficiency, and reliability, ensuring you get a system that suits your household needs.
Our plumbing team will assess your space and hot water needs to recommend the system best suited to you. Our installation service is designed for a quick turnaround, often completed within the same day, allowing you immediate use of your new hot water system.
We aim to minimise disruption and get your home’s hot water running smoothly, quickly.
